New Lancashire League champions Lowerhouse received the trophy after beating outgoing champions Accrington by 7 wickets at The Neville Gee Recruitment Ground. Matt Walker took 5-29 with Joe Martin claiming four catches to pass 50 victims for the season as Lowerhouse won for the 19th match in succession. Former professional Francois Haasbroek returned took take 3-12 as Accrington were bowled out for 83. A last wicket stand of 21 between Jimmy Hayhurst (15 not out) and Joe Lloyd, who made 4 on his senior debut was Accrington's second highest of the innings. Jamie Woodall took the wicket of Lloyd on his senior debut. Professional Ockert Erasmus (12) and skipper Stuart Crabtree (12) put on 22 after Walker had taken the first three wickets to have the visitors struggling on 7-3. Simon Hanson made 10 but no-one else made double figures. Hayhurst picked up Jon Finch (9) and Ben Heap (4) courtesy of two Matt Wilson catches with Erasmus snapping up Joe Hawke at slip to have Lowerhouse 23-3. Jonny Whitehead hit five boundaries in making an unbeaten 35 and Walker hit four fours in an unbeaten 28 as the pair added an unbroken 64 to see the new champions to victory in the 17th over. Accrington drop down to sixth in the table.
