Haslingden secured fourth place with a 28 run win at Accrington who finish in sixth place. Skipper Phill Hayes top scored with 35 from 78 balls including five fours in Haslingden's 138 all out. Late runs from Jake Neary (20), Jack Sudworth (16) and Alex Coleman (21 not out) helped lift the visitors from 93-7. Jimmy Hayhurst (3-28), Simon Hanson (3-37) and professional Ockert Erasmus (3-50) all took 3 wickets apiece for Accrington. Matt Griffin ran through Accrington's top order removing openers Ramiz Hussain and Sam Excell for ducks along with Hanson (9), skipper Stuart Crabtree (4) and Jacob Clarke (3) in taking a career best 5-28 as the home side fell to 45-8. Matt Wilson chose the moment to make a season's best 48 from 38 balls with nine fours in adding 60 with Hayhurst (14 not out). Haslingden professional Brenton Parchment finished his Lancashire League career by bowling Joe Lloyd without scoring to wrap up victory. The match also marked Lionel Cooke's final match as Accrington scorer before his retirement.
