Church won the LCB Cup 1st Round local derby with Accrington at West End by 8 wickets. Levi Wolfenden hit 92 from just 66 balls with new professional Tariq Usman making an unbeaten 58 as the pair shared an opening stand of 141 to win the tie with some ease.
New Accrington professional Ockert Erasmus also hit a half century on his debut for the club in the Lancashire League champions 178-9 made from 45 overs.
The South African top scored with 76 from 104 balls with five fours and two sixes. Ramiz Hussain also made 26, adding 67 for the 6th wicket with his professional. A total of 30 extras included 24 wides.
Jack Gaskill took 3-40 and then Wolfenden smashed the Accrington attack for a dozen boundaries and three sixes. Tariq hit three sixes and two fours to add to his bowling figures of 2-20 on a fine debut to see Church home in the 32nd over.
