Lancashire League champions Accrington returned to form with a 6 wicket win at Burnley inspite of being without David Ormerod through injury. Simon Hanson hit an unbeaten 76 to lead the champions to their second win of the season over Burnley who have now lost all four matches to date. Hanson hit seven fours and four sixes, adding 68 with Graham Lloyd who hit four fours and a six in making 37 after the loss of Marley Ali (7) at 18. Burnley professional Chris Holt picked up both Lloyd and his opposite number Ockert Erasmus (8) in taking 2-49. Skipper Stuart Crabtree made 24 before falling lbw to Tom Lawson, but Sam Excell helped Hanson see Accrington to victory. Late order resistance from Graham Lalor (34 not out) and Michael Kelly (29) helped Burnley to 168-9 after Erasmus had taken a season's best 4-49. Jon Clare made 32 before being run out on his Lancashire League return, and Josh Whitehead made 14 in Burnley's innings.
