Accrington's winning start continued with a 16 run victory at Enfield. Skipper Graham Loyd hit an unbeaten 63 in Accrington's 217-9. Lloyd hit five fours and three sixes as 26 came off the last three overs. After openers Andy Greenwood (11) and Simon Hanson (8) had gone, Saturday's century makers Asher Zaidi (38) and Aijaz Shah (29) added 48 for the 3rd wicket. Lloyd and Matt Wilson then put on 55 for the 6th wicket with Wilson making 34. Professional Brad Moses took 3-43 for Enfield. David Ormerod removed Chris Maudsley and Joe Wrigley without scoring but Greg Jones (25) and Moses put on 70. Moses made 50 with two fours and a six, skipper Adam Bracewell 30 and Asif Fazal 21. The Enfield skipper passed 5,000 Lancashire League runs during his innings. Ormerod took 3-32 and Zaidi 3-48 and inspite of a late unbeaten 35 by David Bracewell Enfield had to be content with 4 batting points as they finished on 201-9.
