League leaders Accrington went down to a second successive defeat losing at East Lancs by 2 wickets. Professional Ashar Zaidi top scored with 84, passing 600 runs for the season, in Accrington's 204 all out. Zaidi hit five fours and three sixes from 103 balls on a green wicket. Stuart Crabtree also made 48, including four fours and Marley Ali 25. A spectacular collapse saw the last 6 wickets fall for just 19 runs with Usama Chaudhary grabbing a hat-trick in taking a career best 5-40. Minhaj Bhada then hit a superb match winning unbeaten 67 from 96 balls with three sixes and one four to lead East Lancs home off the penultimate ball. Professional Ockert Erasmus made 33, Dan Lord 24, Mo Bhada 19 and Ben Westhead 14 with Zaidi taking 4-57 for Accrington whose lead is now cut to 21 points after 13 games. Accrington conceded a total of 30 extras, 24 of which were wides.
