Fifth placed Accrington overcame third placed Todmorden by 53 runs at Thorneyholme Road. Openers Andy Greenwood (20) and Graeme Sneddon (17) put on 39 before James Morgan dismissed them both. The medium pacer went on to take 5-56 but his spell was curtailed in his 15th over when he pulled up injured. Accrington's Matt Wilson also pulled up injured with a back spasm during his innings and had to leave the field. He returned at the fall of the 9th wicket to help Marley Ali add another 19 with the aid of Greenwood as his runner. Ali made a career best 41, including three fours and two sixes, before being run out. Wilson was unbeaten on 14 when the innings ended at 144. Todmorden professional Qaiser Abbas picked up 3-44 with Accrington skipper Graham Lloyd making 15 and professional Ashar Zaidi 13. Zaidi turned it on with the ball taking 6-29 to skittle Todmorden for 91. Hayhurst also took 3-38 with Ben Sutcliffe making 24, Paul Senior 16 and skipper Andrew Sutcliffe 14 in Todmorden's innings.
