Accrington made it four wins out of four with a 109 run victory at Rishton. Professional Ashar Zaidi hit 101 in his sides 218-5. The Pakistani hit fifteen fours and two sixes from 105 balls. He put on 83 for the 2nd wicket with Andy Greenwood who hit seven fours from 101 balls in making a career best 44. Stuart Crabtree also chipped in with 22 and Rishton professional Daniel Salpietro took 3-107 from his 25 over stint. The home side were soon in trouble at 5-3 with skipper Jimmy Hayhurst (3-44) and David Ormerod (3-29) amongst the wickets. Salpietro (21) and Luke McVarish (17) put on 42 for the 5th wicket but apart from a late unbeaten 26 from Scott Greaves, Rishton's batsmen struggled. Accrington are now joint second with Todmorden, 2 points behind leaders Lowerhouse.
