Accrington made it three home wins out of three in all competitions this seasons after beating Rawtenstall by 67 runs. Eddy Shah marked his Rawtenstall debut with 6-61 to have Accrington's early order struggling. Only professional Ashar Zaidi (15) got in to double figures of the home sides top five as Shah and Rizwan Shafiq (2-36) made life difficult. A 6th wicket stand of 86 between Graham Lloyd and Aijaz Shah turned the match Accrington's way. Shah hit four fours and a six in hitting 36 from 70 balls and Lloyd was last man out after hitting 66 from 80 balls with eight fours and two sixes as Accrington closed on 164 all out. Zaidi then took 5-38 with stand-in skipper David Ormerod lending fine support in taking 2-28 from 18 overs as Rawtenstall were bowled out for 97. Matt Kershaw made 22, Andy Clough 20 and Danny Barlow 14 for the visitors.
