The match between Ramsbottom and Accrington at Acre Bottom was abandoned as a No Result with Ramsbottom on 52-1 in the 9th over in reply to Accrington's 242-5 which was far and away the highest score of the day. Sub professional Imad Wasim hit a superb 116 with seven fours and seven sixes for Accrington. The former Burnley professional added 165 for the 3rd wicket with Aijaz Shah who made a career best 58 with five fours and two sixes. Stand-in skipper Matt Wilson made 14 and Stuart Crabtree was unbeaten on 12. Jon Fielding took 2-78 including his 500th Lancashire League wicket during the Accrington innings. Jimmy Hayhurst removed home professional Pieter Malan for 27 and skipper Fielding was still there on 23 when rain ended play just before 6pm.
