Lancashire League champions Lowerhouse are through to the last sixteen of the LCB Cup after a 64 run win at Accrington. Lowerhouse will play either Bootle or Rochdale for a place in the quarter finals. The Lancashire League champions piled up 241-5 with professional Francois Haasbroek being dismissed 1 short of his maiden century for the club after hitting eleven fours and a six from 87 balls. Paddy Martin hit six fours in an unbeaten 73 from 107 balls with Jonny Whitehead (15), Fergus Bailey (14) and skipper Charlie Cottam (13) also chipping in. Six of Accrington's top seven made double figures but the home side never looked like taking control, finishing on 177-8. Paddy Martin took 3-18 to round off a fine all round performance. For Accrington Stuart Crabtree made 36, Aijaz Shah 27, Andy Greenwood 25, Ashar Zaidi 22, skipper Jimmy Hayhurst 15 not out and Simon Hanson 12.
