Another team to turn the tables was Colne who beat Accrington by 60 runs at The Horsfield. Professional and captain Shadley van Schalkwyk was the Colne hero taking 7-34 after his side had made 161-8 in a match reduced to 42 overs a-side. Colne's early order struggled but Nathan Whitehead rallied the middle order with 42 and Matt Wilson hit a season's best 41 with good support from Adam Holt (15 not out) and Tayyib Jamil (15). David Ormerod bowled through the innings taking 6-65. van Schalkwyk soon got to work on the Accrington batsmen with wicketkeeper Sam Tillotson picking up four catches, including visiting professional Ashar Zaidi for a third ball duck. Simon Hanson returned to form with 31, Stuart Crabtree made 26 and Graham Lloyd 16 but it was Colne's day as the home side won for the third time this season.
