Hanson hit six fours from 99 balls before becoming Fielding's first victim at 110. Graham Lloyd followed two balls later without scoring and then Matt Wilson holed out to Rob Read to give Fielding wicket number three. Mitch Taylor made 20 in a 6th wicket stand of 34 with Zaidi who was caught by Fielding off Simon Read for 69 after having hit a dozen boundaries in his 94 balls, passing 900 runs for the season during his innings. The last 4 wickets fell for the addition of just 12 runs as Fielding moved his tally of wickets for the season to 81. Rain reduced Ramsbottom's target to 131 from 36 overs. David Ormerod removed Jamie Pilling (6) at 12 and then Zaidi took another return catch off his own bowling to send back his opposite number Shanan Stewart for 13. David Bell followed in the same manner to give the Pakistani his tenth return catch of the season, and Zaidi also bowled Keith Webb for 23 and Ormerod did likewise to Fielding (10) to have Accrington on top at 64-5. Alex Bell (14) and Rob Read took the score to 89 when Zaidi struck again to bring both Reads together. This pair put on 36 to take Ramsbottom to the edge of victory when Simon was bowled by Ormerod for 12. Rob Read finished unbeaten on 32 with three fours and a six to move Ramsbottom up to fourth place in the table. Accrington's defeat leaves Lowerhouse with a lead of 24 points with six matches to play.
