Lowerhouse need just 7 points from their final two league games to clinch a second Lancashire League title. Their match at East Lancs was one of six games to be abandoned due to rain. The league leaders were struggling on 22-2 after 9 overs when the game was stopped.

The only club who can catch Lowerhouse is now Accrington who had Colne on 12-2 at The Horsfield. David Ormerod took his 49th league wicket of the season and skipper Jimmy Hayhurst picked up the other one.
