Accrington joined Lowerhouse at the top of the table after collecting maximum points in a 91 run win at Burnley. Simon Hanson hit a career best 73 and then took two catches, the first of which was a brilliant diving effort to dismiss Burnley professional Imad Wasim for 42. Openers Andy Greenwood (24) and Marley Ali (a career best 30) put on 56 but when Hanson and professional Ashar Zaidi came together at 77, Accrington started to pile up the runs. The pair put on 164 for the 3rd wicket with Hanson hitting six boundaries from the 105 balls that he faced. Zaidi smashed seven fours and two sixes in his innings of 86 from just 68 balls, passing 600 runs for the season in the process. Graham Lloyd also chipped in with 31 but a clatter of wickets at the end stopped Accrington from passing 300 for the second time this season. Three wickets fell on 282 as the visitors ended on 283-9. Wasim took 5-102 from 19 overs and skipper Steve Brunt 2-8 from his solitary over. Burnley never looked like getting close to Accrington's score and they were bowled out for 192 with just 7 balls remaining to enable Accrington to pick up the vital bonus points that take them level with Lowerhouse. Zaidi took 3-68, David Ormerod 3-64 and Bryn Hargreaves 2-24. Aden Tate made 31, Jonny O'Brien 23, Michael Kelly 21, Cole Hayman 20, Andy Beet 17 and Paul Mortimer 15 in the Burnley innings.
