Accrington beat Rishton, who were playing without a professional, for the first time in this competition but missed out on a semi final place to Ramsbottom who have a superior run rate. Stand-in skipper Tiarnan Hamill top scored with 31 in Rishton's 103 all out. Accrington professional Will Driver took 3-15 and Paul Carroll 2-15. Needing quick runs to improve their run rate, Accrington finished the job in 13.5 overs. Opener Simon Hanson raised his average in this competition to a remarkable 145 with an unbeaten 54. The left hander hit nine fours from 42 balls, adding 49 with fellow opener Graeme Sneddon (20) and 40 with Driver, who made 15.
