Accrington skipper David Ormerod was in seventh heaven after taking a season's best 7-70 in his sides 6 wicket win over Rawtenstall at Thorneyholme Road. Professional Will Driver also took 2-35 as the visitors were bowled out for 137. Andy Payne top scored with 48 from 111 balls before being well caught by Jimmy Hayhurst off the Accrington skipper. Driver accounted for his opposite number Arif for 28 with the help of a fine catch by Waqas Ahmed. Arif struck early to send back Simon Hanson (3) and Keith Roscoe did likewise with Graeme Sneddon (13) at 33. Driver continued his fine form of the weekend with a knock of 65. He hit thirteen boundaries and became the first player to pass 500 runs this season. He now has 528 at 52.8 with four fifties and one century. He put on 89 for the 3rd wicket with Graham Lloyd who made 39 with six fours and a six before falling to Roscoe (3-43) who also trapped Driver leg before.
