Jimmy Hayhurst claimed a career best 6-73 in Accrington's 6 wicket win over Lowerhouse at Thorneyholme Road. Youngster Fergus Bailey, who was only playing in the absence of Jon Finch, was the visitors top scorer with a well made 46 which included four boundaries from the 70 balls he faced. Ben Heap also made 30 and skipper Charlie Cottam 27 at the top of the order as Lowerhouse finished on 173-9. A dropped catch on the boundary in the final over by skipper David Ormerod ultimately cost Accrington 2 points. Simon Hanson upped his career best score to 67 in making his second senior half century. The left hander hit seven fours and faced 90 balls. Professional Will Driver made 67, Graeme Sneddon 17 at the top of the order and Matt Wilson an unbeaten 23 from just 17 balls as Accrington cantered home with almost a dozen overs in hand. Jonny Russell picked up 3-47 in addition to hitting an unbeaten 17 for the visitors
