Leaders leaders Haslingden made it six wins in a row with a 2 wicket win at Accrington. Steve Dearden once again proved to be the thorn in the champions side with an unbeaten 68 after taking the first 4 wickets for 52. Matt Wilson top scored with 44, Graham Lloyd hit 30, professional Will Driver 20 and Simon Hanson 16 but there were 16.5 overs still left to bat when the home side were bowled out for 149. Chris Read also took 4-27 for Haslingden. Jimmy Hayhurst put Accrington back in the match with a fine spell, removing professional Phil Hayes (16), skipper Graham Knowles (17), Read (0) and Jack Taylor (7) at a cost of 66 runs but Dearden stood firm, hitting four fours and a six from his 105 balls in a superb innings to keep Haslingden at the top of the table. Accrington lost for the fourth time this season.
