Luke Woodcock marked his return to the Church side with a fine all round performance in his sides 54 run win over Accrington at West End. The New Zealander hit 66 and then took 6-31 to restrict Accrington to 83-8 in a match reduced to 20 overs a side. Rain halted play after 10 overs with Church on 29-1. Opener Ammer Mirza was dismissed for a rare failure by Jimmy Hayhurst for 1 and Accrington skipper David Ormerod had taken 0-7 from 5 overs. Woodcock then began his assault on the resumption taking just 59 balls to hit three fours and four sixes off the Accrington attack. Levi Wolfenden hit 19 in a 2nd wicket stand of 54 with Woodcock and then Sagawat Hussain helped himself to an unbeaten 34 with three fours and two sixes off his former team-mates in adding 61 with his professional as Church closed on 137-3. Simon Hanson and Stuart Crabtree both made 11 and Hayhurst top scored with 16 but Accrington were never at the races. Church move up to third in the table.
