Accrington went down to a thirteenth successive defeat in the 20/20 competition when local rivals Enfield left Thorneyholme Road with a 5 wicket win. Professional Roy Silva made 24, Ramiz Hussain an unbeaten 20 on his senior debut, Graeme Sneddon 18 and Simon Hanson 15, but Accrington's 119-9 never looked a huge ask. Simon O'Loughlin was Enfield's best bowler taking 3-17, Matloob Khan took 2-23 and Hassan Fazal 2-28. Craig Fergusson hit 46, Adam Bracewell 24 and there were 36 extras helping Enfield to victory with five and a half overs to spare. Jacob Johnson (1-11) picked up a wicket on his senior debut for Accrington, who last won a 20/20 game in 2006.
Haslingden have been drawn at home to Nelson and Church will entertain Burnley next Friday July 3rd in the semi finals.
