Enfield turned the tables on Accrington with a 3 wicket win at Dill Hall Lane which reduced their local rivals lead at the top of the table to just 5 points. Home professional Gary Brent took 6-56 in Accrington's innings of 164 all out. The visitors got away to their usual rapid start, reaching 100 by the 22nd over, but for the loss of 5 wickets. Stuart Crabtree (31), professional Roy Silva (29) and Graham Lloyd (20) all got in and then got out. Graeme Sneddon (26) guided the lower order through the rest of the innings before falling to Brent. Simon O'Loughlin picked up the wickets of Matt Schofield (13) and skipper David Ormerod was stumped in the last over as Enfield claimed the bonus points for the second successive day. Bryn Hargreaves looked assured on his Lancashire League debut before being run out for 6 late in the innings. Silva removed Craig Fergusson (8) at 17 and Jimmy Hayhurst (2-27) accounted for Chris Maudsley (5). Mas Ahmed and Adam Bracewell took the score to 58 before Ahmed lost patience after being bogged down for a 73 ball knock of 15, skying Hayhurst to Crabtree, who took the first of his three catches with ease. Bracewell found another ally in Andy Barker and this pair added 90 for the 4th wicket until David Ormerod (3-50) had the former Accrington man caught by Lloyd for 27. Bracewell carried on to play a match winning innings of 62 with six fours from the 104 balls that he faced. Enfield got the jitters and lost 4 wickets for 10 runs but skipper David Bracewell stayed cool to blast a match winning six off the first ball of Silva's last over.
