East Lancs professional Brendan Nash took 3-1 and David Turner 4-28 to bowl Accrington out for 83 at Alexandra Meadows. Visiting openers Roy Silva (30) and Simon Hanson (8) put on 41 but when they were parted wickets began to tumble. Only Ian Johnson, who made 14 on his senior debut, made double figures as Accrington succumbed to Nash and Turner. Nash then hit an unbeaten 20 with Abdul Bisoodwall (12), Paul Kelly (12) and Sid Patel (12) also chipping in to keep East Lancs semi final hopes alive.
