Accrington v Todmorden
Accrington's lead at the top increased to 20 points as only Lowerhouse of the chasing pack were victorious. David Ormerod's men restricted cup final opponents Todmorden to 125-8 at Thorneyholme Road in a 28 overs a-side match. Visiting professional Gulam Bodi top scored with 45 and Ben Sutcliffe made 32 but Todmorden slipped from 95-1 to 125-8 against the left arm spin twins Toby Bulcock (3-41) and Damian Clarke (3-17). After Paul Carroll's customary early dismissal to a boundary catch, Matt Wilson (16) and Stuart Crabtree took the score to 56 when Wilson became one of James Morgan's (4-36) four victims. Crabtree went on to make an excellent 53, his first half century of the season, from 55 balls which included three fours and two sixes, the first of which was Accrington's first boundary in the 12th over of the innings. Professional Roy Silva (16) and Graham Lloyd (17) both got in the teens but the home side survived the loss of 4 late wickets to register a 3 wicket win and increase their lead at the top to 20 points after 14 matches.
