The 2006 champions Rishton won for the second time to go into second place in Group A after a nailbiting 2 run win over Accrington at Blackburn Road. Professional Saeed Anwar top scored with 93 made from 60 balls and containing six fours and six sixes in Rishton's 154-8 Toby Bulcock took 3-25 for the visitors. Solid knocks by professional Roy Silva (35), Stuart Crabtree (22), Jimmy Hayhurst (21 not out), Matt Wilson (14) and Paul Carroll (13) took Accrington close, but 15 runs off the final over for victory proved too much as the visitors finished on 152-6.
