Scorecard Table
Enfield (3pts) beat Accrington (0pts) by 125 runs

Holders Enfield won in this competition for the first time this season beating Accrington in Group A by 125 runs after equalling Rawtenstall's record score of the previous evening but losing just 2 wickets in piling up 212 runs. Opener Adam Bracewell hit an unbeaten 127 which is far and way the highest individual score made in the four seasons of the competition. Bracewell smashed ten fours and eight sixes from just 68 balls. He put on 134 for the 2nd wicket with professional Brandon Hiini, who hit 61 from 36 balls with four fours and three sixes. Chris Maudsley's contribution in an unbroken 3rd wicket stand of 62 was just 5, such was Bracewell's domination of the innings. Accrington's Chairman of Selection Alick Ormerod, who has followed the Lancashire League for more than 50 years said of his innings "It contained some of the cleanest hitting I have ever seen in the Lancashire League. All of his sixes went clean out of the ground." As ever in this kind of mauling the opposition bowling figures carry an X certificate with Simon Hanson going for 58 in his 4 overs, skipper David Ormerod shipping 40 from 3 and Damian Clarke 33 from 3. Accrington never got going, losing Paul Carroll (7) at 8 with Matt Wilson (9) and Roy Silva (17) taking the score to 41 when wickets fell at regular intervals with Simon O'Loughlin picking up 4-19 and Joe Wrigley 3-10. Ryan Brereton marked his senior debut for Enfield with the scalp of James Ormerod (15).
