Accrington moved into a 15 point lead at the top of the table after a 20 run win at Enfield. Graham Lloyd's maiden century for Accrington helped the league leaders make 199-9. Lloyd's unbeaten 100 contained fourteen fours and a six after Gary Brent (3-60) and Keith Barker (3-65) had taken 3 wickets apiece for the home side. Accrington again lost early wickets but Lloyd and Matt Wilson (17) consolidated after professional Roy Silva (15) had lost his wicket to Barker. Wilson was run out after being called for a quick single but the lower order hung around with Lloyd although no-one else could make double figures. A total of 38 extras helped the visitors total. Lloyd's century was the first by an Accrington amateur since Russell Edmonds hit 101 at Colne in 1996 and it took him past 400 runs for the season. Silva (3-35) removed Mas Ahmed (10), Craig Fergusson (7) and Chris Maudsley (3) to have the home side on an uncomfortable 29-3. Brent and Adam Bracewell (34) added 59 for the 4th wicket until a smart stumping by Wilson off Bulcock ended Bracewell's innings. Skipper David Bracewell took over, putting on 56 with his professional before falling leg before to his opposite number David Ormerod for 26. The Accrington skipper, who had conceded 28 from a wicketless 12 overs then ran through the Enfield lower order picking up 6-44 from his last 5 overs to complete Accrington's third win over their local rivals this season. Brent finished unbeaten on 63 but was left stranded when he ran out of partners.
