Rawtenstall v Accrington
Accrington won at long last with professional Nishit Shetty leading the way with an unbeaten 152 at Rawtenstall. Shetty hit 21 boundaries and two sixes in his 134 ball knock to help his side to 237-7. Accrington were 117-5 at one stage, but skipper Matt Wilson (23) helped his professional to add 39 and then Andrew Greenwood (8 not out) put on 64 for the 8th wicket with Shetty taking 20 off Sanjay Bangar's last over. Bangar finished with 3-93 and skipper Andy Payne took 3-45 for the home side. Zahir Afzal removed the dangerous Chris Cook-Martin (10) and then Payne (30) but it was the fine catch by Graeme Sneddon on the boundary to dismiss Bangar (43) off Shetty that turned the match Accrington's way. Danny Barlow and Vinny Hanson both made 33, but Toby Bulcock picked up 4-74 to see Accrington to that elusive first win of the season. The win was Accrington's first at Rawtenstall for exactly six years. Accrington moved to within two points of Church.
