Ramsbottom had the most comprehensive win of the day, brushing aside Accrington by the huge margin of 132 runs at Acre Bottom. Half centuries by Phil Hayes (71) and David Bell (59) and 47 by opener Steve Leonard (47), who added 99 in an opening stand with the former, helped Ramsbottom to 217-5 from 38 overs. Chris Eardley then ripped through the visitors batting to pick up 5-32 as Accrington batted out time on 73-7 from 35 overs with Toby Bulcock adding an unbeaten 28 to his 3-73 on his league debut. Sub professional Graham Lloyd made just 1 before falling to Michael Haslam (2-12).
