Accrington stay bottom after 56 run home defeat by Nelson. The visitors made 212 with good knocks from Khurrum Nazir (48), Danny Kegg (36), professional Henry Davids (28), David Crotty (29), Thomas Lord (23) and Chris Willan (17). The home side suffered yet another injury blow when Brian Heywood broke his foot whilst fielding. Toby Bulcock took 5-64 for Accrington. The comebacking Richard Meade (3-36) ripped out Accrington professional Nishit Shetty and Waqas Ahmed as the home side stuttered to 12-3. Half the side were out for 53 but a 6th wicket stand of 83 between Stuart Crabtree (60) and Simon Hanson (29) helped Accrington to the more respectable total of 156. Davids took 4-20 in his first game for Nelson.
