Accrington tasted defeat for the fifth time this season with Lowerhouse coming way from Thorneyholme Road with a 52 run win. Charlie Cottam top scored with a superb career best 86 from just 65 balls with six fours and five sixes for the visitors. Professional Ryan Harris (44), skipper Jon Finch (37) and Ben Heap (29) also enjoyed themselves against an Accrington attack minus David Ormerod. Professional Nishit Shetty bowled through for a league best 7-88 as Lowerhouse made 223-9 from 48 overs. Rain reduced Accrington's target to 147 from 26 overs, but Harris and Finch soon got to work with the ball, reducing the home side to 27-5. Waqas Ahmed (18 not out) and Andrew Greenwood (17) took the total to 71, but Chris Benbow picked up a couple of wickets to restrict Accrington to 95-9. Harris took 5-36, Finch 2-31 and Benbow 2-24 for Lowerhouse who won for the third time this season.
