Half centuries by Peter Killelea (55 not out) and Andrew Spencer (55 not out) helped Bacup to a match winning total against Accrington at Lanehead. the home side made 188-4 in a match reduced to 42 overs with professional Chris Harris also hitting 37. His opposite number Nishit Shetty took 4-58 from an unbroken 21 over spell. Mohsin Ahmed batted through the innings for an unbeaten 72 but Accrington were restricted to 140-8. It was Dave Warren who took the vital wicket of Shetty first ball after removing Simon Hanson (6) with the score on 20. Graeme Sneddon also made 27 but Ben Lord (2-18), Harris (2-64) and Warren (2-19) prevented Accrington from making a serious challenge.
