David Ormerod bowled Accrington to a 48 run win at Rishton. The medium pacer took 6-28, his best figures for the club, to dismiss the home side for 87 after Accrington had been bowled out for 135. Zahir Afzal (2-39) and professional Nishit Shetty (2-15) also picked up a couple of wickets with Rishton professional Lachlan Stevens top scoring with 41, batting at number eight for the home side, who had been reduced to 36-6 at one stage. Richard Rostron also picked up a 6 wicket haul, taking 6-38 with Stevens (2-45) and skipper Peter Sleep (2-16) also chipping in. Accrington skipper Matt Wilson hit 80 with ten boundaries and three sixes with good support from Stuart Crabtree (25), who added 62 for the 5th wicket with his skipper.
