Rawtenstall v Accrington
Bottom side Rawtenstall beat Accrington by 47 runs at Bacup Road. Andrew Payne made a welcome return to form after his side had collapsed from 51-1 to 91-6 with Zahir Afzal picking up 4-56 for Accrington. Payne came to the rescue, hitting seven boundaries and two sixes in his innings of 54, adding 53 for the 7th wicket with Andy Riley, who went on to pile up another 48 runs with Rizwan Shafiq (26 not out). Riley finished unbeaten on 36 as the home sides added 101 for the 7th and 8th wickets. Home professional Allan Wise removed Adam Wilson at 8, but Afzal (28) and his professional Nishit Shetty (33) put on 50 to put Accrington back in contention. Skipper matt Wilson (17), Stuart Crabtree (28) and Graeme Sneddon (14) all got starts, but Keith Roscoe plugged away, taking 3-30 to pass Jack Houldsworth in the league's all time leading wicket-taking list and then Wise returned to clean up the tail to finish with 5-50 as Accrington were bowled out for 145.
