20/20 Competition Accrington won a 20/20 match for the first time, beating Enfield by 10 runs at Dill Hall Lane. Openers Zahir Afzal (40) and Stuart Crabtree (14) posted 40 and then professional Nishit Shetty (27) added 52 for the 2nd wicket with Afzal before both men fell to Bernard Reidy, who finished with 3-27. Graeme Sneddon (18) was the only other Accrington player in double figures in a score of 145-8. Skipper David Ormerod bowled 3 tight overs for just 9 runs, but it was Afzal (3-30) who picked up the first 3 wickets to have Enfield in trouble at 23-3 with professional Alviro Petersen back in the pavilion for just 3. Mas Ahmed (35), skipper David Bracewell (33) and Craig Fergusson (25) fought back, but Enfield needed 20 off the last over, making just 9 to finish on 135-7. Scorecard
