Church won at Accrington by just 2 runs to finish as runners up in Group 2. Professional Ruvin Peiris top scored with 62, adding 94 in an opening stand with Oliver Rigby (34). Phil Gilrane upped the tempo with a useful 28 to set the home side 150 to win the group. Damian Clarke was Accrington's best bowler with 3-22. The loss of professional Nishit Shetty (16) at 28 put Church on top and at 51-4 the visitors were in charge. A 5th wicket stand of 52 between skipper Matt Wilson (27) and Tariq Hussain put Accrington back in the match, but a fine running catch on the boundary by Pete Rowbottom saw the skipper depart. Hussain continued to score freely, until having a wild swing at Peiris after making 47 from 32 balls with four fours and three sixes.
