Accrington v Rawtenstall
Accrington equalled the worst ever run of defeats at the start of a season with loss number 14 at home to Rawtenstall. The home side were bowled out for 133 after being 70-1 at one stage. Opener Zahir Afzal made 51 adding 55 with Mohsin Ahmed, who struggled for 66 balls in making just 8 after Tama Canning had gone for 11. Stuart Crabtree made 18 before being run out and Adam Wilson hit 21 but 96-3 became 133 all out with Afrus Ali taking a career best 5-44 and Keith Roscoe 3-51 in 22.1 overs. Andrew Payne then seized on some poor bowling to hit his first century of the season with 16 fours and three sixes in 92 balls in an unbeaten 104. John Hayman made an unbeaten 20 in a 2nd wicket stand of 127 after Canning had bowled Chris Cook-Martin for 2.
