Rawtenstall beat Accrington by 23 runs at Bacup Road. The home side were disappointed to make only 140 with Tama Canning taking 5-38 and Mick Horsfield proving his worth with the ball in taking 4-32. Chris Cook-Martin hit ten fours in an 89 ball innings of 53 with Andrew Payne also hitting 33 for Rawtenstall. Not for the first time in his long career Keith Roscoe proved to be the match winner taking 6-54 as Accrington collapsed from 67-2 to 117 all out. Canning made 32, Zahir Afzal 31 and Horsfield rounded off a useful afternoon with 23 for Accrington, who are now in bottom place after eight successive defeats.
