Lowerhouse v Accrington
Lowerhouse remain neck and neck with Ramsbottom after an 89 run win over Accrington at Liverpool Road. A maiden league century by professional Andrew McDonald, who hit 18 fours and a six in an 89 ball innings of 116 helped the joint leaders to 251-4. Vishal Tripathi hit 61 and Chris Bleazard an unbeaten 47 in a 4th wicket stand of 112 with the Australian. Accrington got off to a good start with Zahir Afzal (27) and Mohsin Ahmed putting on 52. Ahmed went on to hit eight boundaries in a 104 ball innings of 60, his third half century of the season. Tama Canning hit 30 and stand-in wicketkeeper James Ormerod 15 but Accrington were all out for 162 with Jon Finch (3-53) and Chris Benbow (3-34) taking 3 wickets each. Accrington's injured skipper Matt Wilson had to field when a player pulled out at the last minute, but he was unable to bat.
