Accrington's hopes ended with a 6 wicket defeat at Littleborough. The visitors were undone by home skipper Phil Deakin who took 4-14 to bowl Accrington out for 133. Graeme Sneddon made 31, Zahir Afzal 25 and Adam Wilson an unbeaten 18 for Accrington. Afzal then raised Accrington's spirits with the wickets of Gary Hulme (2) and professional Mohammed Zaman without scoring as Littleborough rocked a little at 7-2. Tariq Hussain removed Alex Collins to a good catch by Sagawat Hussain for 17 but at 51-3, Chris Schofield joined Mark Fordan in a 4th wicket stand of 54 to ease the home sides worries. Fordan was superbly caught by Stuart Crabtree for 43 off Sneddon but then Schofield opened up, hitting 22 off Mick Horsfield's seventh over after the medium pacer had conceded just 10 from his previous six. The ex Lancashire player finished unbeaten on 52 with seven fours and two sixes off 31 balls.
