Damian Clarke took a career best 6-45, including his 200th league wicket for Accrington but his side went down to a heavy defeat at Turf Moor. Another career best, this time from from Simon Edmondson (58 not out) and a five wicket haul from Steven Holden saw Burnley notch a 75 run. Edmondson's innings enabled Burnley to reach 199 after his side looked in trouble at 113-7, but the 26 year-old, playing his first senior match of the season, hit four sixes and three fours with Dave Connolly (13) and Graham Lalor (13) also making useful contributions. Jonathan Clare hit 44 at the top of the order. The visitors had moved on to 105-5 when Steven Holden removed Andy Greenwood for 9. Holden went on to polish off the tail, taking 5-23 as Accrington were dismissed for 124. Skipper Matt Wilson top scored with a run a ball 56 which included five fours and two sixes.
