An 8 wicket win at Accrington kept Lowerhouse on the fringes of the title race in 4th place, 16 points adrift of Haslingden. Chris Bleazard (69) and professional Peter Fulton (57) put on 125 for the 3rd wicket after openers Vishal Tripathi and Jonathan Finch had fallen to Tama Canning and Jimmy Hayhurst for 9 apiece. Finch had earlier taken 4-59 as the home side were restricted to 154-7. Zahir Afzal top scored for the home side with 40 which included an eight (an all run four and four overthrows), Mohsin Ahmed hit 27 and Adam Wilson an unbeaten 23 in an 8th wicket stand of 36 with Hayhurst (13 not out). Canning made 21 in his last innings for Accrington before joining the New Zealand A tour to South Africa.
