Canning hit a superb unbeaten 151 at Colne in Accrington's
62 run win. Canning hit 11 fours and seven sixes in a 143 ball knock
with his last 50 coming up in just 17 balls. His innings was the second
highest by an Accrington professional since Charlie Llewellyn hit 188

being dismissed. The home side then raced to 50 in the 6th over and
100 in the 14th over but wickets fell regularly with Canning taking
3-49, Jimmy Hayhurst 3-30 and Graeme Sneddon 2-22 as Colne were bowled
out for 186. Qasim Ali made 45, professional Junior Murray 38, Paul
Wilson 29 and Matt Wilson 20 for Colne.
