(12pts) beat Accrington (0pts) by 81 runs |
Another
bowler in seventh heaven was Andrew Bentley, who took a career best
7-79 in Church's 81 run win over Accrington at West End.
The home side made 240-5 after being put in to bat with professional
Ruwin Peiris hitting nine fours in a innings of 72 with skipper Phil
Sykes returning to form with 44. It was a mixed day for Accrington Old
Boys Mark Aspin and Adam Greenwood with Aspin hitting 12 fours and a

Professional Tama Canning bowled right through in taking 2-104 and then
opened the Accrington reply, hitting 88 with seven fours and five sixes
in just 94 balls. Bentley took the first three wickets as the visitors
made a disastrous start at 10-3, but skipper Matt Wilson hit 25 as Accrington
made finally made 159. The win takes Church into second place.
