It
was a bad day at Acre Bottom for last season's wooden spoonists Accrington.
Home side Ramsbottom made 143 with Mark Price (33) getting in
the runs for the second day running, and Mark Dentith celebrating his
return to his home club with 30. Australian
professional Jason Arnberger hit 20 with opposite number Andre Seymore
being the pick of the Accrington attack with 4-32. Jimmy Hayhurst also
impressed with 3-24. Mike Haslam then took 4-40 as Accrington were reduced
to 70-7. Hayhurst and Graeme Sneddon both hit 21 with Nasser Hussain
top scoring with 26. Arnberger chipped in with 3-39. Jimmy Hayhurst
recorded his best batting and bowling performances fof the club to date.
