A superb innings of 86 by Adam Greenwood took Accrington to a surprise win over previously unbeaten Todmorden at Centre Vale. Set a target of 189, Accrington, who going into the match stood on a minus points total, got home by 3 wickets with one ball to spare. Greenwood's career best innings included nine boundaries and was the second half century of his promising career. It was youngsters Adam Barnes (14) and James Hayhurst (8) who were at the crease in the last over when the nine runs need to win were scored. Professional Andre Seymore made 22 and Asim Hussain a vital 15 as the home side had to use part time bowlers in the absence of injured professional Jerry Cassell who was unable to turn his arm over. Cassell made 21 in Todmorden's innings with Nigel Hunter (49), Matthew Brierley (28) and Stuart Priestley (24) being the main run scorers. Seymore took 5-39 for Accrington.
