A captain's innings of 93 from Andrew Payne took Rawtenstall to a 5 wicket win over Accrington at Thorneyholme Road. The home side looked set for a big score when professional Andre Seymore and Mohsin Ahmed put on 86 for the first wicket. But Mohsin fell for 25 and Steve Birtwistle perished in the deep for 17 at 126-2, Accrington still looked set for a big total. Rawtenstall veteran Keith Roscoe had other ideas though, adding four more scalps to his career total, finishing with 6-35. Andre Seymore fell to his Easterns teammate Andrew Hall for 68, his maiden league half century. Seymore had his revenge later by dismissing Hall for 3, but Rawtenstall won with some ease. Chris Cook-Martin hit 20 and Peter Seal an unbeaten 21 for the visitors.
