Steve Juliff took 6-32 and Damian Clarke 3-28 as Accrington won at home for the first time this season, beating Nelson by 70 runs. Professional Andre Seymore hit 83, including 12 fours and a six, his second for the club. Seymore put on 118 for the second wicket with Mohsin Ahmed who hit 51, his third half century of the season in Accrington's 194-8. Seymore passed 500 runs and Mohsin 300 for the season this afternoon. Khurram Nasir took 4-42 and Martin Heap 3-72 for a Nelson side missing Joe Scuderi who was delayed in Ireland with the Italian side. Graham Lloyd stood in against his old team but made only 3 as Nelson were dismissed for 124. Lincoln Marshall top scored with 45 and skipper Mick Bradley hit 30 as Juliff rolled back the years, having 5-17 at one stage as Accrington at last scored a home win.
