Lowerhouse won a nailbiter against Accrington at Liverpool Road. Home professional Jacques Rudolph scored his maiden league century, finishing on 101 not out out of 188-8. Dave Whalley hit 31 and Accrington professional Andre Seymore took 4-61. Steve Juliff took his 150th league wicket for the club when he dismissed Nicky Hope with his second ball of the day. Chasing a revised target of 146 after 15 overs were lost due to rain, Accrington needed 4 to win off the last over bowled by Jez Hope with Seymore on 78 not out. No runs came from the first three balls and on the fourth the professional was caught on the boundary by Chris Bleazard. . Accrington finished one run adrift on 144-6. Mohsin Ahmed hit 18 and Paul Clifford 15.
