Three Accrington players hit half centuries in the same match for the first time since who knows when but it was not enough to prevent another defeat this time to Lowerhouse who won by 5 wickets chasing 232 for victory. Professional Andre Seymore's form has taken a dramatic upturn since the arrival of Mrs Seymore this week. Today he hit 72 with Mohsin Ahmed scoring 56 and Matt Wilson hitting form at last, scoring an unbeaten 68 in just 38 balls. Wilson hit six fours and four sixes as Accrington made 231-5, their highest score of the season. Chris Bleazard was the visitors best bowler, taking 4-52. Jacques Rudolph then went on to win the match for Lowerhouse, hitting an unbeaten 149, with 14 fours and two sixes. The South African has now hit two unbeaten league centuries this season, both against Accrington. Stan Heaton made 31 and Joe Beneduce 18 not out with Steve Juliff taking 2-95 for Accrington. Graeme Sneddon made his Lancashire League debut for Accrington.

Matt's half century makes him the sixth Accrington player to score a 50 this season in the league. The last time that happened was in 1994.
